Crypto FMC Review

  1. Launched in January 2018, CryptoFMC is an investment firm providing investment services with tailored guidance 24/5, and a digital asset exchange for trading in a broad range of cryptocurrency options and CFDs.  CryptoFMC keeps the vast majority of customers’ cryptocurrency portfolio investments in cold storage offline. The remaining assets are kept ‘vault safe’ using block chain technology and top-level encryption systems. CryptoFMC is a non-regulated investment firm which is quite common amongst cryptocurrency services providers. However, we found the lack of transparency on the website disturbing. Notably, CryptoFMC does not give information about the owners of the firm, neither the address of the company’s headquarters or a company registration number. Indeed, the only information that we could find out about the company, was a UK phone number for customer support.

    Customers can set up a trading account easily at CryptoFMC by filling in the registration form with name, email address, phone number, country, language and currency. However, to comply with the company’s KYC policy, a copy of an official ID document such as a passport must be sent to CryptoFMC by email or fax, together with a document (not older than 6 months) proving the present address of the customer. Accounts can be maintained in GBP, EUR and USD, with deposits made in other currencies converted to the currency of choice. Moreover, accounts are protected with two-factor authentication and full data encryption. Clients can check their portfolio history along with all deposits and withdrawals in the ‘My accounts’ section after login. We think it’s worth noting that a monthly €10 maintenance fee is charged on all trading accounts, regardless of trading activity or withdrawals and deposits made to CryptoFMC.

    Traders may be offered a bonus as part of the promotional campaign run by CryptoFMC. Inour experience, it’s important to read the terms and conditions attached to bonus payments before accepting. We saw in the CryptoFMC terms and conditions on the website, that bonuses can only be withdrawn from a trading account after executing a trading volume, 30X the amount of the bonus and deposit. We were pleased to see that, CryptoFMC provides new customers with introductory guidance and broad range of trading tools on the trading platform.

    The colours of the rates on the trading platform are clearly indicated, with red showing the falling of a price and green showing the rising of a price. We were interested to see that the CryptoFMC platform offers ‘Double Up’ and ‘Rollover’ features. The Double Up feature allows traders to increase investments on open positions, capitalise on strong positions immediately, thereby doubling the profit on expiry.

    By using the Rollover feature, traders can delay the expiration time of an option if they think the market will move to their advantage. Notably, activating the Rollover feature automatically increases the investment amount by 30% and can only be used once on an open position. Moreover, traders can’t trigger the rollover feature on the last trade of the day.

    Customers can contact the support team at CryptoFMC through the live chat function on the interface or by phoning the UK number on the contact page. Alternatively, CryptoFMC responds to email enquiries and provides a call back service to customers. Requesting a free phone appointment is possible by sending an email directly to the support team, indicating a convenient time, or by asking the personal account manager to set up one up. We did not receive complaints about CryptoFMC scam.

    Traders can deposit to CryptoFMC using cryptocurrency, credit/debit cards, wire transfer or PayPal. The accepted credit/debit cards are: Visa, Mastercard, Carte Bleue and Maestro. The minimum deposit accepted by credit card is £€$100 and by wire transfer $500. Importantly, clients who want to deposit with cryptocurrencies must contact the account manager after registering an account with CryptoFMC, as the minimum required amounts change due to crypto price volatility. CryptoFMC does not impose a minimum withdrawal limit on any payment method. However, wire transfers are charged a $25 commission on both deposits and withdrawals. We were pleased to see that the company uses 3D secured payments security and is compliant with PCI DSS standards.
